On Saturday, Ivy had a few friends over for some merry-making. They did a scavenger hunt with clues hidden through the neighborhood park, leading them to the pirate's booty in our living room. Then we ate funfetti cupcakes (I think everyone ate 3 a piece--the only thing about having only cupcakes for party vittles) and opened presents. We finished her up with a simple yarn-wrapped styrofoam ornament craft and about 20 minutes of playtime in the basement. It was, for me, the perfect party...just the right amount of time, guests, number of activities, food. Each girl took home a stocking Ivy and I made out of felt filled with dollar store items and some candy. That was probably our most fun part, wandering the aisles, picking out the stuff to put in the stockings. Loved it.

The last picture with Hank, and your comment about him being just 'one of the girls', literally made me laugh out loud. I used to LOVE treasure hunts when I was younger...you are the best entertainer.
